Official summary
TSB: Some 2005 - 2013 model year Tacoma vehicles equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission may exhibit a whine noise from the rear differential between 50 - 60 mph (80 - 97 km/h). Use the following Repair Procedure to address this condition. NOTE-This bulletin does NOT apply to Limited Slip Differential (LSD) or locking type rear differentials.
