"issue: customers may report the engine management light (mil) is illuminated with the possibility of a no engine restarts in xxx miles/km, diesel exhaust fluid dosing malfunction warning message displayed within the instrument cluster message centre and dtc s p20e8-84/85 and p2bae/p2baf stored in the pcm (powertrain control module). Note: if other codes are stored in the pcm they must be investigated and resolved before following the advice detailed in this ssm. Cause: the system has detected a pressure deviation in the def (diesel exhaust fluid) injection system."
