Official summary
Some vehicles may exhibit a chirp/clunk type noise from the rear shock absorbers (a) when driving on a rough road or passing over a speed bump. Visual inspection of the shock absorbers show no external damage.
What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
