Official summary
"situation: an issue has been identified on a limited number of 2014-2015 model year range rover evoque (l538) vehicles where the front suspension lower control arm-to-knuckle bolt(s) failed when having the service instruction contained in program code q382 performed due to the specified torque specification (175nm) being incorrect. Action: retailers are required to hold only affected new vehicles that are within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new vehicle sale pending completion of the service instruction detailed in this technical bulletin."
What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
