"issue: warranty claims and epqr have been received where technical bulletin ltb00342 has been completed on vehicles outside the vin range in the bulletin. There is also evidence that the bulletin has been completed on evoque. Special service messages 46477, 54417 and 55837 also refer toltb00342. Action: the repair outlined in ltb00342 (currently at version 2) must only be completed on freelander 2 (lr2) within the bulletin vin range 000212 to 257090. At vin 257091 an improved pinion bearing design was introduced along with a design change to the differential."
