Official summary
"techline summary article - normally, any time you disconnect, jump, or replace the battery, dtc c0051-54 (steering angle neutral position learning incomplete) will set. This dtc clears on its own when the vehicle is driven a short distance. You can also clear it by doing the vsa sensor neutral position memorization with the i-hds. But due to a software bug, now, whenever the battery is disconnected, jumped, or replaced, two dtcs also set and won t go away on their own."
Vehicles covered
What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
