Official summary
Some 2015-2017 f-150 vehicles built on or before 28-nov-2016 equipped with a mechanical tailgate handle and remote control tailgate lock may exhibit a tailgate that will not open during freezing temperatures due to a frozen tailgate latch control assembly. To correct this concern install a revised tailgate latch control assembly part number fl3z-9943170-e. Refer to workshop manual section 501-14. For claiming, use causal part 9943170 and applicable labor operations in section 12 of the service labor time standards (slts) manual.
