Some 2017 fusion hev/phev, c-max hev/phev, and mkz hev vehicles may exhibit an illuminated mil with dtc p0071 and/or degraded hvac performance in automatic mode only with an ambient temperature reading of 50 degrees f displayed in the message center. If after performing normal pinpoint test diagnosis, a component failure is not identified, do not continue with further diagnosis or part replacement.
