Official summary
Situation: a steering wheel shimmy may be evident during the pre-delivery inspection (pdi) road test due to temporary flat spots on the rolling surface of the tire. Cause: temporary flat spots naturally develop on the rolling surface of a tire when the wheels of the vehicle are stationary over a period of time.
