Official summary
For 2016 escape, the plant complexity of windshields went up with the introduction of the heated wiper. To reduce the plant complexity, there is only one windshield for vehicles with electrochromatic mirror and rain sensitive wipers. If a vehicle is only built with electrochromatic mirror and not rain sensitive wipers, the rain sensor will still be present with no wiring harness. These are not a misbuilt vehicle.
