Official summary
Some 2016 explorer, flex, mkt, taurus, mks and transit vehicles equipped with a 3.5l gtdi engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (mil) with diagnostic trouble code (dtc) p2096, p2097, p2098 and/or p2099 in the powertrain control module (pcm) memory. This may be due to incorrect calibration values setting a system dtc instead of a circuit fault dtc.
