Official summary
Some 2017 mkz vehicles built on or before 20-sep-2016 may exhibit an inaccurate fuel gauge reading, erratic fuel gauge reading, inaccurate distance to empty, and/or a fuel gauge that drops fast after a refueling event, with no diagnostic trouble codes (dtcs) stored in powertrain control module (pcm). Reprogram the instrument panel cluster (ipc) using only the as-built data method. Clear all dtcs after programming. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programing to obtain the latest updates. Use causal part 10849 and applicable labor operations from section 10 of the
