Official summary

Pitstop: high-pitched squeal noise before coming to a complete stop - on some vehicles, customers may complain of an intermittent squeal when coming to a stop. This concern is often due to the brake pads not freely floating within the caliper and sticking to the caliper bracket. This condition may lead to a vibration and noise which is heard during the last portion of brake pedal travel, before coming to a complete stop.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
