Official summary
"techline summary article - when you start up the vehicle, the navigation system can take from 5 30 seconds to find its location on the map. Sometimes the system won ft locate it until the vehicle starts to move. The reason this happens is the delay of the gps antenna data being sent to the garmin application. If it fs longer than expected, that data may not be processed in the normal process flow, which causes the extended delay. To address this issue, replace the audio-navigation unit. Remanufactured units have been updated. We fll be releasing a software update along with a service bulletin
Vehicles covered
What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
