The defect
Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2025 LR8 Series vehicles. The collar on the lockbolts for the shear plates may have been improperly formed during assembly, resulting in bolt failure.
The risk
Shear plate lockbolt failure can result in separation of the elevator sub-base and truck frame, increasing the risk of injury.
