The defect

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2022-2025 ST600 vehicles equipped with auxiliary engines. The auxiliary engine electrical circuit, including the starter and voltage regulator, may become overloaded.

Overloaded circuits may overheat and increase the risk of fire.

The fix — what to do

Owners will be advised to turn the battery disconnect off as part of the shutdown procedure. Altec will replace the electrical circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 24, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3257.
