The defect
Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (Yamaha) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Skeeter FXR boat trailers. The boarding ladder used to gain access to the bow of the boat was manufactured with incomplete welds that can cause the ladder to fail.
The risk
A ladder that unexpectedly fails while in use increases the risk of injury to the user. In addition, if the welds fail during transport, the debris can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
