The defect
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2025 E-Transit Chassis Cab vehicles. The tray side rails for the high voltage battery pack may buckle and crack, allowing water to enter the battery.
The risk
Water inside a high voltage battery can cause an electrical short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will inspect and replace, or repair the battery assembly as necessary, free of charge.
