NHTSA campaign 25V220000 · Back Over Prevention · filed Apr 8, 2025 · verified Jul 30, 2026
The defect
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Macan Electric vehicles. The rearview camera may show a blurry image or fail to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The risk
A rearview camera that does not display an image decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
