The defect

Terex Advance Mixer, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2024 Commander vehicles equipped with Meritor MX-23-810 axles. The front axle may have an incorrect thrust bearing installed.

The risk

The incorrect thrust bearings can cause the axel shaft to break and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix — what to do

Terex will provide inspection instructions and replacement axles as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 17, 2025. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-203-222-7170.
