The defect

Indian Motorcycle Company (Indian) is recalling certain 2025 Scout and Scout Sixty motorcycles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of affected trims. The gear position display may falsely show that the motorcycle is in neutral. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Controls and Displays."

The risk

The motorcycle may move unexpectedly when the transmission is actually in gear, increasing the risk of a crash.

Check whether your specific vehicle is affected

Recall campaigns often cover only certain VIN ranges. Enter your VIN on the official NHTSA site to confirm whether your vehicle is included and whether the repair is still open.
