The defect

Forest River, Inc (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 East to West Alta travel trailer vehicles. The inverter may be incorrectly wired to constant "hot" on the second battery, causing the wire to be unprotected from the battery.

An unprotected invertor wire increases the risk of fire.

The fix — what to do

Dealers will rewire the inverter to the breaker side of the second battery, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 11, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-264-6664. Forest River's number for this recall is 501-1859.
