NHTSA campaign 23V852000 · Equipment · filed Dec 15, 2023 · verified Jul 30, 2026
The defect
Great Dane Trailers, (Great Dane) is recalling certain 2023 Champion trailers. The VINs on the certification label may be incorrect. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
The risk
An owner that references an incorrect VIN label may not recognize their trailer is involved in a safety recall, and may not have the recall remedy performed, which could increase the risk of injury, fire, or a crash.
