The defect

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2018-2019 and 2021 G5 transit buses. The seats located over the fuel filler and equipped with seat belts may detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The risk

Seats that detach may not adequately restrain an occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
