The defect
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2019 Jaguar XE vehicles. Due to wiring damage in the trunk, the rearview camera image may not appear on the display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The risk
A rearview camera that does not display an image can reduce the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.
