The defect
Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2023 LR Battery Electric trucks. During certain driving maneuvers, the power steering system may lose pressure, causing a loss of power steering assist.

Dealers replace the higher ratio steering gear and power steering pump software for higher RPM's on the steering pump, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 24, 2022. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0434.
