The defect

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles. A certain combination of software and anti-lock brake system (ABS) hardware may lead to a system error, possibly causing a loss of vehicle braking and the inability to set the parking brake.

The fix — what to do

DTNA service facilities will update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 10, 2022. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL919.
