The defect

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2019 A220 vehicles. Certain labels containing important information such as tire pressure may not have been installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

The risk

If the tires are inflated to an incorrect tire pressure, the tires may be overloaded, and increase the risk of a crash.

Check whether your specific vehicle is affected

Recall campaigns often cover only certain VIN ranges. Enter your VIN on the official NHTSA site to confirm whether your vehicle is included and whether the repair is still open.
