The defect
Autocar, LLC. (Autocar) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Xpeditor vehicles manufactured with a single cross-member behind the engine and equipped with a front engine power take off (FEPTO). The mounting brackets of the first cross member behind the engine may fail prematurely due to strain caused by improper spacing between the cross members, causing the supportive cross member to become loose and detach from the frame rails.
The risk
If the cross member fails, the components that it supports may come loose from the vehicle, increasing the risk of crash.
