The defect

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2017-2018 LR7, TA50/55/60 and L42/45 Aerial Devices. Multiple fasteners used to secure the rotation bearing may break, possibly resulting in the pedestal separating from the turntable.

The risk

If the pedestal separates from the turntable, it can increase the risk of injury or death.

The fix — what to do

Altec will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected fasteners, free of charge. The recall began July 31, 2019. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 722.
