The defect

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Altec LS63 Aerial Devices. The fuse for the battery was not installed to the guidelines. The incorrectly placed fuse may increase the risk for an electrical short.

The fix — what to do

Altec will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the battery fuse location, relocating it if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin October 15, 2018. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 691.
