The defect
Columbia Northwest, Inc. (Columbia Northwest) is recalling certain 2013-2018 Somerset E3 recreational trailers. The Certification Labels on these vehicles may be missing the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selections and Rims," and the vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
The risk
If the GAWR information is missing, the users may unknowingly overload the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.
