The defect
Karma Automotive LLC (Karma) is recalling certain 2018 Revero vehicles. In the event of a crash, the side curtain/head protection air bags may partially detach from the inflator during air bag deployment, affecting the performance of the air bags. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
The risk
If the air bag are not fully connected to the inflator, the air bags may not inflate properly, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
