The defect

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2017-2018 M760Li xDrive vehicles. The affected vehicles may have had incorrect engine oil cooler line installed, causing an oil leak in the engine compartment.

The risk

If oil leaks onto the front brake discs, a greater distance may be needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
