The defect
Load Trail LLC (Load Trail) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 81.5 x 22 Triple Axle Tilt Deck trailers manufactured January 1, 2014, to January 1, 2016. The affected trailers, sold through Altec for use in transporting TDA58 Articulating Telescopic Aerial Devices, have weld joints that may crack where the front bumper, frame, and the stationary deck are joined.
The risk
If the welds fail, the equipment may disengage from the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.
