The defect

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain model year 2017 Jay Flight SLX travel trailers, model 212 QBW, manufactured June 27, 2016, to June 28, 2016. The affected vehicles were manufactured with Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) and Tire Labels indicating incorrect vehicle weight. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

The risk

Incorrect weight on labels can allow the operator to overload the vehicle, affecting vehicle handling, and increasing the risk of a crash.
