The defect

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2011-2016 Glaval Titan II Low Floor diesel transit buses manufactured October 5, 2011, to September 11, 2015. During installation of the floor decking, a screw may have pierced the exhaust tube.

The risk

If the exhaust tube was pierced and the screw is removed, exhaust fumes may enter the passenger area. Additionally, there is an increased risk of a fire.

The fix — what to do

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will remove and inspect the exhaust system, sealing or replacing it, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on October 7, 2015.
