The defect
Spartan Motors Chassis, Inc. (Spartan) is recalling certain model year 2011-2015 school bus chassis manufactured December 21, 2010, to June 26, 2014, and equipped with air brake systems. The affected chassis may have been manufactured with the rear antilock brake system (ABS) harness connectors reversed.
The risk
If the ABS connectors are reversed, the rear wheels may lock up while braking, increasing the risk of a crash.

Spartan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and correct the ABS harness connectors, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on January 14, 2015. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-517-543-6400. Spartan's number for this recall is 14015.
