The defect

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. (Yamaha) is recalling certain model year 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycles manufactured August 1, 2014, to September 1, 2014. The front and rear wheels of the affected motorcycles may have been manufactured with insufficient hardness.

The risk

If the wheels have insufficient hardness, the wheels may loosen and/or air may leak from around the tire bead. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.

Check whether your specific vehicle is affected
