Peg perego is conducting a safety notification campaign (09c001) to correct the hazard found on 32,641 subject seats produced and shipped between july 1, 2007 and march 30, 2008.the company is notifying owners and retailers and is providing a free repair kit with a redesigned harness adjuster cover.the subject infant seats were manufactured with a mold that could produce excess flash on the harness adjuster cover.the flash is in an area accessible to the infant's feet and is sharp enough to cut, scrape or abrade their feet or legs when they rub across it.odi has received six complaints from parents whose children received cuts or scrapes to their heels or the back of their ankles.peg perego reported 91 similar complaints (three were duplicates of the complaints to odi and have been removed from the total in the failure report summary).peg perego's safety program adequately addresses the hazard.this investigation is closed.
